House Flies

The
House fly
is widespread all over the world, and in Sri
Lanka it is the most annoying flying insect
pest.
Flies are not only a serious nuisance but of
greater concern is its potential of carrier
as disease organisms, such as
dysentery, typhoid,
anthrax, cholera, hepatitis & tuberculosis,
food poisoning, salmonella. They also can
transmit intestinal worms.

Integrated Fly Management
The goal of Integrated House Fly Management
is to prevent or reduce problems caused by
House Flies. The best control of House Flies
is prevention.
Treatment Method
The treatment will be
carried out by spraying a residual
insecticide to all infested areas, breeding
spots & harborage areas.
The
treatment
will control the House
Fly infestation at the premises. The treatment will be
carried out by highly
trained technicians
according to the
EIFM-Standards. |

House Fly were able to
mate, and survive for
only 5 months, the Earth
would be covered
completely with a

of flies. That
calculates to be about

flies -
one hundred ninety one
trillion, ten billion

placing live maggots
onto wounds on humans.
The
maggots used feed only
on dead tissues, eating
away the dead skin and
stimulating
the healing process.
This is particularly
effective on severe burn
victims.
•
This benefit of having
wounds infested with
living maggots was
discovered on
soldiers, wounded in
battle, who were left in
the field so long that
flies laid their
eggs on them. Their
wounds healed more
quickly than those
brought into field
hospitals.
